久しぶりに近況報告

帰国して、就職活動とか、友人に会ったり、家族に会ったり、いろいろです。主に就職活動メインなのだけど、細かい時間の合間をぬって会ってくれた人ありがとう。会えなかった人ごめんなさい、次回はぜひ。あと２日くらいしたら、アメリカに戻ります。

細かい近況報告に関しては、そのうちまた。聞いてくれれば直接話しますし。

帰国中に

２７歳になりました。いろんな経由で、おめでとうと言ってくれた人、ありがとう☆ 落ちついたらお返事します。

長過ぎなんてことはない

アメリカに行って９年経つよ、って久しぶりに会った同年代の人らに話すと、長いねえと言われる。自分でも長いなあと思う。

昨日父親と話してたら、彼はじいちゃんの仕事を継いでから３４年なんだって。３４年の中で、業界も変化したし、社会も変化した、良い時もあって、悪い時もあった。それでも、続けてやって、結果出してるの、スゴいよなあと思う。両親ともに。

今日友人のばあちゃん（９４歳）と話してたら、ばあちゃんは和裁を始めてから、７５年なんだって。８０年じゃないけど、７５年くらいはやってるな、なんて、ケラケラ笑いながら言う。僕の長いと思ってる時間って、ばあちゃんには一の位でしかないんだよなあ。

長期的な視点で物を見たいとは、常々思うのだけど、自分が９４歳になる時の視点を持つことは、僕が今まで考えたことのある可能性を超越してた。女学生時代に習い始めたんだよ、孫の服はワシが縫ったんだよって、シワと微笑みが入り交じったくしゃくしゃの笑顔で、昔話をしてくれるばあちゃんを見てたら、今この瞬間、僕がちょっと上手くいってないなと思うのは、どうでも良くなってしまった。

へこまず、くさらず、つっぱらず、コツコツやるかなあ。３４年後、７５年後に、誰かが僕を見た時、昨日今日の僕が受けた感動を与えられるよう。
